We are proud to share about our Kanavu School of English at Government Higher Secondary School, Lakkapuram, which has been serving students since 1944 under the Department of Education. This school has a student strength of over 1,000, thanks to the dedicated work of the teachers and Headmistress Kalaiselvi Ma’am. Their commitment goes beyond regular academics — they help students discover their hidden talents and encourage them to grow in every way possible. This location is extra special for us because our dedicated Kanavu teacher, Mrs. Punitha, has a deep connection with the school. Her mother is an alumna of this very school, and now Mrs. Punitha is giving back by training the next generation of students in spoken English. We currently train 50 students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grades every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. This new training batch started on 17th June 2025 with the wonderful support of Headmistress Kalaiselvi Ma’am. We thank Mrs. Punitha for her dedication and her family’s beautiful circle of giving back. With this effort, we hope to build stronger spoken English skills and more confident young voices in Lakkapuram!

We are happy to share that we have started our 22nd location of The Kanavu School of English at Government Higher Secondary School, Thamaraipalayam, Kodumudi, Erode. This school has been serving students since 1997 and has nearly 300 students from 6th to 12th grade. Through Kanavu, we now provide spoken English training for 6th and 7th-grade students, reaching about 50 students every day. Our class runs daily from 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM. This new step is possible thanks to the great support of Headmistress Gnanambal Ma’am and the dedicated team of 22 staff members at the school. A special thanks to Mrs. Prabhadevi, our dedicated Kanavu teacher, who trains the students with care and commitment every day. Together, we aim to build confidence and improve spoken English skills for these young students, helping them dream bigger and speak brighter!

This expansion brings us closer to our mission of empowering students with strong English language skills, helping them dream bigger and reach further. A School with a Strong Foundation GHSS Vellottamparappu holds a special place in the community, having nurtured young minds for the past 57 years. Under the dedicated leadership of Headmaster Mr. P. Loganathan, the school thrives with 19 passionate teachers and a vibrant student body of 184. We are deeply grateful to PTA Head Mr. Periyasamy Sir, a retired headmaster of the same school, whose understanding of students’ needs and the school’s culture has been invaluable in making this vision a reality. Anbu: The Spark Behind the Expansion This meaningful initiative is proudly sponsored by Rotary Metro, with Mr. Navaneethakrishnan providing unwavering support and commitment to our mission. But the real spark behind this journey is Anbu, Mr. Navaneethakrishnan’s son — and the very first student of Kanavu School of English at Nadupalayam. Anbu’s passion for learning English confidently inspired his father to believe in Kanavu’s vision and expand our reach to more government schools. His journey proves how one child’s dream can light the path for many more. Learning in Action Today, 45 students at GHSS Vellottamparappu are actively building their spoken English skills under the dedicated guidance of our teacher, Ponnenitha. Through regular practice, these students are growing in confidence, unlocking new opportunities to express themselves and connect with the world. Our classes officially began on 12.6.25, marking the start of a promising journey for these young learners. A School with a Legacy Government High School, Vadugapatti, has a proud history. Established in 1927 and upgraded to a high school in 2010, it stands as a beacon of learning for the community. With 10 dedicated subject teachers nurturing 69 students, it’s a close-knit environment where every student matters. Inspiring Leadership This year marks our first at Vadugapatti, and the passion shown by the school’s leadership has been truly motivating. Headmaster Mr. S. Vengateswaran and Mr. Gunalan have offered unwavering support for our program. Mr. Vengateswaran’s heartfelt words capture the spirit of this partnership: “I want to see my children speaking English confidently. If my children speak in English, immediately call me, even if I am having food.” His dedication fuels our belief that every child deserves the confidence that English fluency can bring. Empowering Through Daily Practice Under the guidance of our committed teacher Priya, 44 students are receiving focused spoken English training every day. Classes run from 12:50 PM to 1:30 PM, ensuring regular practice and steady progress. Our classes officially began on 09.6.25, marking the start of a promising journey for these young learners. Under the care and motivation of our dedicated trainer, Mrs. Yamuna, students practice daily sentences, simple conversations, and real situations — building the confidence to speak without hesitation. Small Steps, Big Progress This campus, with a total student strength of 335, reflects the spirit of Kanavu — when students, teachers, and our team come together, English is no longer a barrier but a bridge to new opportunities.
